Ride2Raise is a campaign to promote cycling as a healthy and
eco-friendly way to fundraise – while raising at least £10,000 for a collection of deserving charities including British Red Cross, Kidney Research, Shared Interest and Livestrong.

Ride2Raise is organised by Raise magazine, the highest circulated community fundraising magazine in the UK. The magazine promotes charity fundraising and volunteering as well as socially responsible living. Ride2Raise is also supported by Club Together, the leading association and social networking site for groups.

To promote Ride2Raise 2010, Raise magazine’s own challenge will feature a 6-strong team of amateur cyclists riding a 600 mile route from the famous Box Hill in Surrey to Edinburgh’s highest point, Arthur’s Seat, in just 6 days.

The Ride2Raise Team will generate media coverage on each day of the challenge by recognising nominated groups that have made outstanding contributions to charity and presenting them with Charity Hero awards.

Active fundraising – and cycling-based events in particular – are huge growth areas, with most charities operating at least one such event, and usually many more, each year. Formats range from short local fun rides to lengthy multi-stage European treks – and Ride2Raise aims to encourage more groups to sign up for these events, raising more money for the charities, helping the environment and keeping people healthy.

Over the coming months we will keep you informed of details of the event as they are finalised, and let you know how you can donate to the charities which we are supporting, via Raise magazine and our website – www.ride2raise.co.uk.

We’d also like nominations for the Charity Hero awards. If you work for a charity and know of someone who deserves to be rewarded in some way for the work they have done for your charity, please write and let us know at the address below or email HERE.
